Now, in it’s 20th year, the Bahamas Hope Challenge was established to build hope and resources to fight cancer in The Bahamas. A registered Charity in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, was for all constituted in 2006 as Ride for Hope Bahamas. The organization’s flagship fundraiser is  “The Bahamas Hope Challenge”. The event includes a weekend full of events, live music, great camaraderie and beautiful views. Without exception, every dollar raised by participants is applied to the programs we support.

100% of funds raised by the Bahamas Hope Challenge participants directly benefit two programs, the Family Island Mammogram Screening (FIMS) and the Treatment Assistance Fund. 

• The Treatment Assistance fund supports Bahamian cancer patients with financial grants to help pay for their treatment costs.

• FIMS brings women from all over The Bahamas to Nassau for a free mammogram screening, education on the breast cancer risks to Bahamian women, lunch and a tour of the Cancer Caring Center. FIMS also funds follow up costs for women in need of additional screening.

Bahamas Hope Challenge exists to build hope and resources for Bahamians who are Wfighting cancer, to expand access to early diagnostic imaging and consultation, and to reframe treatment financial assistance nationally. At the heart of what we do is our desire to save lives and increase survivorship. Our mission is critical - and your help is needed!

Donations can be made through the “Donate” tab on our website. You can choose to give to the general fund or support a specific participant or team’s fundraising campaign. Donations can also be made by cash, cheque, or wire transfer.

The Bahamas Hope Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization in the United States, and was established in 2009. It was established for the purpose of raising money to support initiatives related to health, wellness, and human development in The Bahamas. It’s designated focus is cancer.
